Noklak Committee Meeting Delayed as Kohima Targets HIV Awareness

Kohima: Noklak authorities pushed back the District Advisory Committee meeting for the MY Bharat Kendra. It was originally set for August 25. The session will now happen August 27, 2026, at 11 am inside the Deputy Commissioner office chamber. Officials expect all members to show up.

Meanwhile, Kohima faces a major public health push. The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society started the third round of its Intensified IEC Campaign on August 12. It runs until October 12, 2026. This drive targets HIV and STI prevention in 21 villages and 70 schools. Kohima Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem issued a direct plea for help with the project. He asked that everyone "extend full cooperation and support for effective implementation of the campaign."
