Kohima: A free health camp drew 200 residents to the Tsiepfutsiepfhe Colony in Kohima on Friday. Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhütso, the local MLA, led the medical outreach. He wants to help.
Doctors ran blood pressure and sugar screenings, alongside specialized ENT, dental, and ultrasound services. Patients also received blood tests, cervical cancer screenings via Pap smears, and free medicine. The team took care to visit the homes of the elderly and bedridden. They brought the clinic to those who could not travel.
Vilekho Bio, the general secretary of the Tsiepfutsiepfhe council, chaired the day. Malol Neikha, a deacon of CRC Tsiepfutsiepfhe, offered an opening prayer. Ketousie Khamo, a councillor for the Kohima Municipal Council, welcomed the crowd. The organisers stated, "The initiative was aimed at promoting a healthier community and ensuring a better future through accessible healthcare services."
