Nagaland Governor Challenges Students to Lead National Anti-Drug Campaign

Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Technology in Chümoukedima on Saturday. He attended the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. The governor challenged students to spearhead the local fight against substance abuse. His appearance kicked off the central government’s 100-week push to build a drug-free India.

Students showcased posters and exhibits during the event. Yadav walked through the displays and praised their work. He told the group to act as ambassadors. "Encouraged the students to become ambassadors of the movement and spread the message of a drug-free future within their communities," the governor said.

Attendees watched a live address from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He asked the youth to own the anti-drug cause. NIT Nagaland Registrar Dr. Manoj E. Prabhakar wrapped up the proceedings with a vote of thanks. Faculty, staff, and students pledged to keep the pressure on for a cleaner, healthier future.
