Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Technology Nagaland in Chumoukedima on August 2. He arrived to support the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. This is a 100-week nationwide Government of India campaign targeting drug abuse. It seeks to mobilize youth and communities to build a drug-free, developed nation.
Yadav toured a student-led poster exhibition at the campus. The displays highlighted the dangers of substance abuse. The Governor praised the creativity of the students. He pushed them to act as core messengers for the cause. "Become ambassadors of a Drug-Free Future," he urged the group.
The Governor joined faculty, staff, and students to watch a live broadcast from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister officially launched the campaign during the event. He challenged the nation's youth to spearhead the anti-drug movement to help build a Vikshit Bharat. NIT Nagaland Registrar Dr. Manoj E. Prabhakar delivered the vote of thanks. Attendees finished the event by pledging their support for sustained, youth-led initiatives to foster an addiction-free society.
