Kohima: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Technology Nagaland in Chumoukedima to launch the state's participation in a nationwide anti-drug push. The event supported the Government of India’s 100-week Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. The initiative targets students and local communities. It seeks a drug-free future for a developed India.
Yadav toured an exhibition featuring student-made posters and creative displays highlighting the dangers of substance abuse. He praised the participants for their hard work. He told the students, "become ambassadors of the movement and spread the message of a drug-free future within their communities."
The governor joined faculty, staff, and students to watch a live address from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister tasked the youth with spearheading the national fight against addiction. NIT Nagaland registrar Dr. Manoj E. Prabhakar delivered a final vote of thanks to the attendees. The campus community formally pledged to continue awareness efforts throughout the 100-week campaign period.
