Aizawl: Mizoram Education Minister Vanlalthlana traveled to Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on Thursday to inspect the Vidya Samiksha Kendra. He brought along key staff from the School Education and Samagra Shiksha departments. The group studied the government facility, which uses data to track teachers, schools, and students across the state. They want to bring this tech-heavy model to Mizoram.
Vanlalthlana manages the Higher and Technical Education portfolio for his state. He stated, "Mizoram was working to integrate technology with education and expressed hope that Gujarat's experience could be adapted to meet the state's requirements." Gujarat officials signaled a desire to swap best practices, potentially adopting successful strategies from the northeastern state.
The minister also stopped at the New Age Makers' Institute of Technology. He pitched a partnership between the institute and the upcoming Mizoram Engineering College. The goal involves building industry-focused courses for students. NAMTECH officials confirmed they are open to providing support and expertise to the Mizoram government.
