Manipur Governor Urges Participation in Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

Imphal: Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla told citizens that nation-building rests on every person in the state. He spoke Wednesday, August 12, at a state-level Tiranga Concert. The event promoted the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Bhalla wants people to hoist the national flag at their homes with pride.

The governor pushed for active civic duty. He believes people must take part in initiatives to strengthen national unity. This year holds special meaning. The country marks 150 years of Vande Mataram. During the concert, Bhalla noted, "Nation-building is a shared responsibility of every citizen."

The program honored those who created the state song. It paid tribute to the writers, composer, and artistes of Roop Raag. They premiered Sana Leibak Manipur in 1967. Performers from the Shri Shri Bal Mukunda Dev Music College sang patriotic songs. Artistes from the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy presented a dance.

The governor shifted focus to local success. He praised Manipur for its contributions to the 2026 Commonwealth Games. He acknowledged the state's long history of sporting achievements. The concert served as a centerpiece for the campaign to celebrate national identity through public displays and cultural events.
