Manipur Chief Minister Honors Gold Medalist Linthoi Chanambam

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh honored judoka Linthoi Chanambam at the Secretariat. She captured gold at the Asian Cadet and Junior Judo Championships in Amman, Jordan. The win is a massive career milestone.

The Chief Minister praised her for bringing glory to both Manipur and India. He believes her victory will drive other young athletes to chase national and international success. "Linthoi’s outstanding performance at the prestigious international championship has brought laurels to Manipur and the country," the Chief Minister said.

Officials attended the event to mark the occasion. Mayang Imphal MLA K. Robindro Singh and Director of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. M. Veto Singh stood alongside Manipur Judo Association President Bijoy Koijam. Linthoi’s parents also joined the ceremony. The Chief Minister expects even bigger things from the athlete in the years ahead.
