Shillong: Air Force School Upper Shillong is hiring. The school needs teaching and non-teaching staff for 2026. Available roles include Headmistress, TGT Sanskrit, PRT, Accounting Assistant, and a part-time Yoga Instructor. Most teaching positions require a minimum of 50 percent in graduation and a recognized Bachelor of Education degree.
Headmistress candidates need specific teaching experience. You need two years as a PGT, TGT, or PRT, or three years as an NTT. Alternatively, two years of experience as a Principal or HM at an Air Force School qualifies you. The school notes: "Those holding a graduate degree in any other subject will not be eligible." This applies to the Headmistress role unless the candidate holds a relevant Master's Degree.
TGT Sanskrit and PRT roles are contractual. Accounting Assistants need a B.Com, 40 words per minute typing speed, and computer skills. Yoga instructors must hold a degree and a one-year yoga diploma.
