Shillong: The High Court of Meghalaya is hunting for new staff. Officials opened recruitment for three distinct roles in 2026: Court Officer, Junior Administrative Assistant, and Computer Operator. Each position requires a different set of credentials and offers a specific pay scale.
The court needs one Court Officer. This role pays Rs. 49,000 per month at Level 16. Candidates must hold a Bachelor degree in Law from a recognized university. One Junior Administrative Assistant post is also open. This position pays Rs. 35,100 at Level 10, requiring a Bachelor degree and confirmed computer skills. Finally, the court is seeking one Computer Operator. This job pays Rs. 28,400 at Level 7. Applicants need a Bachelor degree along with a diploma or certificate in computer studies.
Prospective hires must use the official website at https://meghalayahighcourt.nic.in/ to submit their applications. The deadline is fixed. "The last date for submission of applications shall be on 14th August 2026 by 1700 hours," the notice states. General applicants must pay a fee of Rs. 400. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates pay Rs. 200.
