JCI Alumni Club Donates Cold Coffin to Dimapur Gurudwara

Kohima: JCI Alumni Club Zone 25 delivered its second cold coffin to the Dimapur Gurudwara Sahib Committee on November 2. This donation is part of an ongoing project to provide equipment for families during times of bereavement. The committee will manage the unit and make it accessible to local residents whenever the need arises.

This marks the second unit distributed by the organization. The Bagaria family provided the first cold coffin to the Dibrugarh Shamshan Ghat Committee recently to honor the memory of Late Banshidhar Ji Bagaria and Late Maina Devi Bagaria. Attendees at the Dimapur ceremony included Zone Chairman Jc PDM Basant Bagaria, Kusum Bagaria, Jc Neeta Agarwal, Jc Jaya Dutta, and Sanjay Sethi of the Dimapur Jain Samaj.

Basant Bagaria confirmed that the group has already procured seven units across four states. They have ordered two more, bringing the total commitment to nine. During the handover, Bagaria noted the scope of the project. He stated, "The initiative has already procured seven Cold Coffins, which are being distributed across four states in the region."

The club acknowledged contributions from JCI Dibrugarh Greens members. They also thanked Dolly Ahluwalia for her involvement. Officials expect the project to grow as more members and supporters back the cause.
