UNACCO Group Marks 25 Years of Service in Imphal

Imphal: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh visited the City Convention Centre in Imphal today. He arrived for the 25th Silver Jubilee Foundation Day of the UNACCO Group. The event marked a quarter-century of business operations.

Khemchand praised Ningombam Irabanta Singh for his hard work. He noted the firm grew because of that dedication. The UNACCO Group started a microfinance wing to help locals. It funds street vendors and owners of small shops. Profits remain secondary to that mission. The Chief Minister promised state help for future projects.

Irabanta Singh took the stage for his presidential address. He credited the Institute of Cooperative Management and the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited as the group's foundational pillars. He also looked toward the future. "He also outlined the group's future roadmap, looking ahead to the celebration of its Golden Jubilee in 2051."

Khemchand unveiled the foundation stone for the Ningombam Thoiba Memorial Hall. He also released the group's Silver Jubilee souvenir, a new diary, and an annual calendar. High-profile guests filled the room. Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam sat in the front row. MLA Khumukcham Joykisan Singh, Advocate General Hijam Lenin Singh, and NEDFi CMD PVSLN Murty attended alongside company staff.
