Guwahati Police Bust Six for Selling Rented Vehicles

Kohima: Guwahati Police arrested six suspects following a scheme to sell a rented vehicle in Nagaland. The investigation began after the owner filed a formal complaint because the renter failed to return the transport as agreed. The owner tracked the vehicle using GPS, which tipped off law enforcement to the crime.

Police seized the primary target vehicle along with a Bolero Pickup and a Mahindra Thar. Investigators now believe the suspects worked together to move these cars through illegal channels. The group conspired to fraudulently sell the rented vehicle. Officers registered a case on July 29, and the investigation remains active.
