Guwahati: Dhubri police arrested four men and seized 600 Yaba tablets during a Thursday evening raid on July 16. The bust happened at a drug den on NS Road across from Boro Masjid. Dhubri Crime Team officers and Dhubri Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Pritam Das led the operation based on specific tips.

Officers caught the suspects red-handed while they allegedly used drugs. The recovered Yaba tablets were already packaged for local sale. Police identified the arrested men as 50-year-old Nur Khan, 46-year-old Jahangir Alom, 34-year-old Saiful Islam, and 52-year-old Monisur Islam.

Authorities booked the group under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Investigators are now questioning the four men to map out the drug network and find the suppliers. "We are committed to making Dhubri drug-free. This raid is part of our relentless zero-tolerance campaign against the narcotics trade in the region," said Pritam Das.
