Guwahati: Cachar Police moved on a tip-off late Friday, August 28, to stop a drug run in Sonai. Officers cornered the suspects and seized 9,800 Yaba tablets. The street value sits at Rs 3 crore.

Police took three men into custody during the raid. The suspects are Kaji Chiru Miya, Krishna Kamal Das, and Aabir Das. All three men hail from West Tripura district. Authorities confirmed the bust on social media, noting the operation relied on specific intelligence regarding traffickers moving through the area.

Investigators are now hunting for the source and destination of the haul. The police force is checking for links to a wider interstate syndicate. "Cachar Police confirmed the seizure and arrests in a social media post," officials stated regarding the incident. The investigation into the suspects and their potential partners remains ongoing.
