Guwahati: Two masked men stormed a house in Dhubri’s Char Main Road area early Sunday. The clock hit 4 a.m. when the pair scaled a window and popped the lock on the iron grill door to get inside the home of Ganesh Dutta.

Bishwanath Mazumdar, a relative living there, stood his ground. The intruders sliced at him with a sharp knife the second he tried to stop them. The fight spilled into the open, and the victim’s family started screaming for help. The noise scared the attackers away, and they bolted before anyone caught them.

This is the third time these crooks hit this specific house in 30 days. Neighbors are on edge. Dhubri Police arrived at the scene shortly after the attack to start their investigation. Officers are currently tracking down the suspects, but no one is in handcuffs yet. Authorities stated, "Police are examining the circumstances of the break-in and efforts are underway to identify and trace the suspects."
