Agartala: Members of the Pradesh Congress Sadar District Committee flooded the streets of Agartala today to protest the city’s failed urban transformation. The marchers claim the Smart City project is a total sham. Party leaders, workers, and supporters joined the demonstration to demand accountability for crores of wasted taxpayer funds.

The city remains a wreck. Crumbling roads, clogged drainage systems, and constant waterlogging plague neighborhoods every time it rains. Traffic jams have become a daily grind for residents, while unfinished construction projects and endless road digging make travel nearly impossible.

Pradesh Congress spokesperson Prabir Chakraborty criticized the authorities for prioritizing empty promises over actual infrastructure. He labeled the entire initiative a disaster. "Behind the mask of Smart City lies a regime of loot," Chakraborty asserted.

Congress leaders charged that the project serves only to hide corruption and misappropriate public money. They demanded immediate action against the officials behind these failed developments. The party insists that Agartala residents deserve real progress instead of the chaos currently masquerading as a modern city.
