Agartala: Tripura Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman gathered party workers in Agartala on Sunday, September 27. He pushed for a rigorous audit of the party's internal structure. The meetings aim to map out strengths and plug holes at the booth level.
Barman rejected the idea that these sessions serve as formal election campaigns. Instead, he framed the meetings as routine housekeeping. "We are discussing our good sides, our weaknesses and how we should proceed with our organisational activities in the coming days," Barman said during the event.
The legislator took aim at the rival BJP. He mocked their booth workers for carrying long sticks and criticized their promotion of unqualified staff to state positions. Congress will wait for the official announcement before starting its urban body election strategy. For now, the focus stays on fixing local gaps.
Despite a shortage of manpower, the party continues to pull decent numbers at individual booths. Barman believes better management will lead to more wins. "We have to identify the loopholes and weaknesses and see how we can overcome these challenges," he said. The party now works to turn these internal discussions into a clear roadmap for future success.
