Assam Police Raid Illegal Nagaon Slaughterhouse

Guwahati: Assam Police smashed an illegal slaughterhouse operation in Nagaon early this morning. Officers seized 285 kilograms of suspected beef along with 36 cattle and two buffaloes. The site was allegedly run by Noor Ali and Noor Zaman, both of whom currently remain at large.

Authorities took Asab Ali into custody at the scene. Police are tracking the remaining suspects and running a full investigation into the facility. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the bust, stating the state has "zero tolerance for illegal cattle smuggling and unlawful slaughter" and promised offenders will face the full force of the law.
