Guwahati: Juria police in Nagaon district busted a theft operation this week. They arrested Tayebur Rahman, a resident of Balikatia, after finding a stash of stolen goods. He had gold chains, bracelets, earrings, and bangles in his possession.

Officers also seized an electronic weighing machine and a silver key ring during the raid. The recovery marks a significant win for local law enforcement. Police state: "Juria Police have continued questioning the accused to gather further information and investigate his alleged involvement in other theft cases."

Records show Rahman is no stranger to the law. Authorities found a prior case against him from 2021. This file, numbered 457/380/34 IPC, originated at the Jorhat Police Station. Detectives are now digging deeper to see if he pulled off other heists.
