Itanagar: Storms are coming. The India Meteorological Department issued an alert for several Arunachal Pradesh districts starting September 22. Heavy weather looms.
The Meteorological Centre in Itanagar reports that Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Papum Pare, and Anjaw will face thunderstorms and rain this Tuesday. The outlook shifts the following day. On September 23, Upper Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, and Lohit will deal with incoming rain and storms.
Conditions will improve. Rainfall activity drops off starting September 24, as the IMD currently holds no warnings for any districts beyond that date. The agency expects the weather to calm down quickly.
Authorities want people ready. The meteorological centre advised residents to monitor updates, stating: "The meteorological centre has advised residents in the affected districts to remain alert and follow weather updates and advisories issued by the authorities." Keep watch for further bulletins.
