Arunachal Minister Delivers Relief to Flood-Stricken Mon

Kohima: Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Gabriel Denwang Wangsu traveled to Mon on Sunday to help families hit by a recent natural disaster. He met with officials at the Konyak Union Office to deliver humanitarian aid. The visit offered a show of unity between tribes across state lines.

Konyak Union President K Yamao Konyak praised the move. He noted the visit "reflected the strong bond of brotherhood among the Konyak people across state boundaries and demonstrated compassion and unity during a difficult time." Deputy Commissioner Wennyei Konyak thanked Wangsu for his support during the crisis.

Assistance also flowed in from other groups. The All Assam Naga Welfare Society provided aid to the victims. Kunki Chowdhury, a Shrimanta Shanker Society member and former Guwahati Central Assembly election candidate, stopped by to drop off relief and offer condolences.

A delegation from the Konyak Union pushed into Charaideo, Assam, to distribute supplies to flood victims. They sat down with the Joint Action Committee of Mon and Charaideo to discuss the situation. The union used the meeting to kill rumors about a Dikhu Dam. They confirmed no such structure exists, despite claims circulating on social media.
