Kohima: The Dimapur Bengali Samaj delivered emergency aid to families hit by deadly floods and landslides in Mon on August 5, 2026. Members handed over rice, mustard oil, and dal to the Konyak Union president at the Mon headquarters. Local Bengali residents gathered the supplies to support their neighbors.

Disaster struck the region, claiming lives and destroying homes. The group offered the supplies as a gesture of solidarity during the recovery. "The initiative reflected the community’s deep concern and solidarity with affected families who suffered loss of lives, homes and belongings due to the natural disaster."
