EKU and GASU Applaud New ENWO Leadership Team

Kohima: The Eastern Konyak Union, Myanmar, officially welcomed the new leadership of the Eastern Nagaland Women's Organisation on November 2. President Tsitongla Sangtam leads the incoming team. EKU leaders stated, "We acknowledged the confidence and trust placed in its members to lead an organisation that plays an important role in the social life of Eastern Nagaland."

EKU expects the new administration to push forward progressive initiatives. They want to see more women in decision-making roles. The union emphasized that grassroots democracy needs female participation. EKU also stressed the value of cross-border engagement. Stronger ties across the international boundary build regional peace. They hope ENWO will inspire younger generations to take collective responsibility.

The Ganglei Area Students Union also sent congratulations to Sangtam and her fellow office-bearers. GASU wants the team to bring fresh ideas to address the needs of women in the region. They noted that when women step into leadership, young people find the confidence to pursue their own ambitions. Education and employment remain top priorities for the youth. The union believes guidance from groups like ENWO helps students find direction. Both organizations aim for a more connected and progressive society.
