Kohima: Nagaland Minister for Roads and Bridges G Kaito Aye took the stage at the Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation session in Mon this Saturday. He issued a blunt warning about the Frontier Nagaland Territory arrangement. Benefits must reach all six districts of Eastern Nagaland fairly and without discrimination. The minister stated, "political arrangements and development packages alone cannot guarantee progress unless people take collective responsibility and make effective use of available opportunities."
Aye praised the work of the Eastern Nagaland Peoples' Organisation in pushing for regional authority. He also lauded the Nagaland Mothers' Association and the ENWO for their long-term social efforts. The minister told the crowd to remain united and take pride in their cultural heritage. Nagaland has not yet reached its full potential. The state needs more than just politics to fix its developmental gaps.
ENWO President Yingphe Konyak spoke earlier. She focused on the urgent need for better roads and bridges to improve regional access. The event featured a presentation on Women of Courage by Sahkhi Thüny Eh and a Unity Dance. Dr. Anungla Imlong Phom advised women to build confidence from within. Rev H Moba Konyak, Pastor of KBCM, led the invocation. Lushian H and T Vichimshi Tikhir managed the program.
