Dimapur Power Department Schedules Two-Day Maintenance Shutdown

Kohima: Dimapur residents face two days of power outages this week. The Department of Power will shut down electricity on November 3 and 4 to perform structural work, renovations, and maintenance on the 33/11kV, 2x10 MVA Forest Substation.

Power cuts hit hard from 5:30am to 7:30am each morning. The disruption targets the Landmark Feeder, Khennahal Feeder, and Notun Bosti Feeder areas. Officials expect to restore normal service immediately after crews wrap up the daily tasks.

The Executive Engineer of the Electrical Division in Dimapur issued a statement regarding the upcoming outages. The department requested that all consumers, local institutions, and business establishments in the affected areas "cooperate during the shutdown period" while crews finish the necessary grid improvements.
