Power Cut Set for Four Districts on July 27

Kohima: Power will go dark across four districts on July 27. The Department of Power confirmed a three-hour outage scheduled from 6 am to 9 am. Maintenance crews need the time for vegetation clearance near the Zoological Park area.

The shutdown impacts the 66 kV Chümoukedima and 66 kV Ganeshnagar transmission lines. Affected areas include Chümoukedima and Peren districts, plus sections of Dimapur and Niuland districts. Residents drawing power from the Sovima, Chümoukedima, and Ganeshnagar substations will see their electricity cut.

Executive Engineer SI Asangba Tikhir of the Transmission Division in Dimapur managed the notification. The department requested public patience while work crews clear the lines. In an official statement, the department said, "The department expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and appealed to consumers for their cooperation during the maintenance work."
