ICAR Promotes Natural Farming Methods in Arunachal Pradesh

Kohima: The ICAR National Research Centre on Mithun staged a natural farming awareness event on October 27. The session took place in Koronu village, located in the Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. Officials launched the program under the Khet Bachaao Abhiyaan, also known as KBA Rabi 2026.

Staff pushed for better soil health management. Farmers learned how to use fertilizers in a balanced way and conserve natural resources. The center wants to promote sustainable, climate-resilient practices across the region. According to a press release from the group, the goal is to equip growers with tools for long-term success. The initiative reached local farmers in Medziphema and beyond.
