Power Outages Scheduled for Parts of Nagaland on July 27

Kohima: The Department of Power announced a scheduled three-hour blackout for July 27. Workers need to clear vegetation near the Zoological Park area. The shutdown affects the Chümoukedima and Peren districts, plus specific sections of Dimapur and Niuland districts.

The power will stay off from 6 am until 9 am. Crews are working on the 66 kV Chümoukedima and 66 kV Ganeshnagar transmission lines. Anyone drawing power from the Sovima, Chümoukedima, or Ganeshnagar substations should expect a total loss of service.

The Executive Engineer for the Transmission Division in Dimapur issued the order on Friday. The department asked for public patience. They stated, "The department expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and appealed to consumers for their cooperation during the maintenance work."
