Agartala: Mukti Sangha club in Ramnagar, Agartala, launched its Durga Puja preparations Monday by performing the traditional Khuti Puja rituals. The organizers set this year’s theme as Muktir Anande Sabujayan, or A Green Tribute to Freedom, aiming to push environmental awareness.

The club allocated a 16 lakh rupee budget for the event. For the fifth year running, the organizers appointed an all-women committee to manage the festivities. A club functionary noted the team's influence on the neighborhood: "We feel extremely proud when we see that our concept of forming a female centric Puja committee is now being adopted by other clubs as well in the Ramnagar area."

Local talent drives the production. The club supports the vocal for local slogan by hiring nearby workers. Artisan Chittaranjan Rudra Paul and his son Hriday Rudra Paul are crafting the idols. Chinmoy Debbarma is managing the construction of the pandal.
