Agartala: Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy inspected the ongoing construction of a 200-bed youth hostel in Kailasahar on Saturday. The site sits in Ward No. 14 of the municipal council. The project is moving fast. Roy wants the doors open by the Durga Puja festival.

He told officials to finish on time. The hostel will house young people visiting for sports and cultural events. It aims to act as a hub for talent development across Tripura. Roy stated, "The project is being fast-tracked to ensure young participants in sports, cultural activities and youth development programmes have access to proper accommodation."

Local officials promised to meet the deadline. Construction is moving forward steadily. The new facility will solve housing problems for hundreds of young men and women. It will also help the town host bigger state-level events in the future.
