Agartala: The Tripura State Election Commission kicked off ballot printing at the Government Press. A dedicated team is working around the clock to meet deadlines. The upcoming Village Committee elections for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council will hit the polls on September 28. Vote counting follows on October 5.

Election duty staff get a head start. Police, Tripura State Rifles personnel, and civil officials will cast their ballots on September 22 and 23. Secretary Anurag Sen explained the process for those assigned to election tasks. He stated, "Civil officials, officers working in the police or TSR, and officials of various ranks who are engaged in voting work or Village Committee election duties have a specific form, Form 15."

Returning Officers will manage the distribution and collection of these ballots. Training for staff is happening across multiple blocks. The first phase of training is finished after a successful round of personnel randomization. Officials expect to wrap up the second round of training by September 22.
