Agartala: Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy praised the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh for its ongoing commitment to labor rights and national development. He spoke Sunday at the 72nd Foundation Day event held at Rajrshi Kalakshetra in Udaipur.

Dattopant Thengadi founded the organization on July 23, 1955. This date coincides with the birth anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The group remains rooted in nationalism and the dignity of labor. Singha Roy noted that federal programs like e-Shram, labor law reforms, and Atmanirbhar Bharat have bolstered these goals under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The minister highlighted the Gomati District BMS Committee for running blood drives, planting trees, and helping sick workers. He visited the district to inaugurate a voluntary blood donation camp. The event brought together local leaders including Zilla Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, Municipal Chairman Sheetal Chandra Majumdar, BJP Gomati District President Sabita Nag, senior leader Gautam Das, and Gomati District President Digbijoy Bhawal.

Singha Roy offered well wishes for the organization's mission. "May their dedicated efforts for society and worker welfare continue with the same spirit in the future," he said.
