NSCN leadership shake-up brings new Kilo Secretary and Steering Committee head

Kohima: Joseph Lotha stepped into his role as the new Kilo Secretary for the NSCN on Monday. The formal transition followed a charge-taking ceremony in Ukhrul. Colleagues and community leaders watched as outgoing secretary Qhetoyi A. Swu passed his responsibilities to the new head. The Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) confirmed the change in an official statement released on August 31.

The organization marked the occasion by recognizing the work of the outgoing secretary. The Secretariat officially thanked Swu for his service and leadership during his tenure. They extended their best wishes to Lotha as he starts his new job. "The ceremony recognised Swu's contributions during his tenure and welcomed Lotha as the new head of the Kilo Secretariat," the MIP stated.

Changes reached beyond the Kilo Secretariat. Mozamo Ngullie officially took charge as the new convener of the Steering Committee. He replaces Maj. Hutovi Chishi (Retd.), CLM. The MIP documented both leadership shifts in their latest dispatch to the public.
