Kohima: Qhetoyi A Swu took charge today as the new Secretary of the Ceasefire Monitoring Office for the NSCN (IM). The group confirmed the leadership change in a statement from the Ministry of Information and Publicity.
A formal ceremony marked the transition. It occurred on September 3 at Diphuphar-A in Chümoukedima. The organization confirmed Swu "has officially taken over the charge of office" during the proceedings.
