Nagaland Education Advisor Calls for Integrating Indigenous Knowledge

Kohima: Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome wants indigenous knowledge back in the classroom. The Nagaland School Education Advisor spoke at Don Bosco College in Kohima on August 11. He addressed the Lecture Series 3 event hosted by the Naga Scholars Association and the college history and political science departments. The talk focused on Naga Indigenous Knowledge in the Context of NEP 2020.

Yhome sees the National Education Policy 2020 as a chance to mix old ways with new studies. He told the audience to stay rooted in their cultural heritage while preparing for a globalized world. It is time to make tradition part of the daily grind. Yhome said, "Naga indigenous knowledge in the context of NEP 2020" is essential for students today.

Imtiwapang T Longkumer moderated the event. Earlier, Fr. Dr. Xavier Mattam gave an invocation, and Dr. Videkhono Yhokha delivered the welcome address. Dr. Lanukumla Ao closed the session with a vote of thanks. A brief question and answer segment followed the main lecture.
