Mount Olive College Honors Graduates and Welcomes New Students

Kohima: Mount Olive College held its 34th Freshers Social cum Graduation Ceremony on August 14 at the college auditorium in Kohima. The Students Council and Alumni Association organized the event for the entire college community. Prof N Venuh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Nagaland University, served as the guest of honour. He challenged the students to find meaning beyond their grades.

"Addressing the gathering, he urged upon the students to be serious, sincere and responsible." He told the graduates to stay humble and recognize their true potential. The college welcomed 101 freshers while 38 students walked across the stage to receive their degrees. Vice-Principal Lovitoli Zhimo and General Secretary Hipkha A Sumi offered official greetings to the crowd.

Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü, an alumnus and current Naga wrestling champion, delivered the commencement address. Governing body Chairman K Shiwoto Wotsa gave the final congratulatory note. The school presented awards for academic and overall excellence. Neikehenuo Pielie took the title of Mount Olivian Batch Topper 2026 after earning the 4th rank in Sociology. Thujochilu Venuh received the award for Mount Olivian Student of the Year 2026.

The administration also handed out certificates to high achievers from the Sütsa Academy and the 2025 MOCK Diploma batch. Niboli Achumi and Imnaonen Imchen walked away with the Miss and Mr Fresher titles. Principal Dr Koseno ended the program with a vote of thanks. Associate Pastor Lujeka Assumi of SBCK offered the final blessings.
