Imphal: MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei opened a new community hall in Keirao Khunou on Wednesday. He believes every locality needs a hub for social functions and public welfare. The Imphal East district site aims to solve long-standing venue shortages for meetings and local programs.
Residents struggled to find space for community events for years. Rameshwor Meetei acknowledged the toll taken by recent hardships. "The COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent periods of unrest and President’s Rule had affected developmental activities in the state," he stated during the event. Work on pending projects continues regardless of past delays.
The MLA promised to build a store room at the new facility for equipment security. He also committed to better road connectivity for the constituency. Blacktopping projects will begin soon to fix local transport issues.
