Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh toured school sites on July 26 to push for better educational facilities. He opened a new library building at Heirangoithong High School. The project launch drew a crowd. MPSC Secretary Neeta Arambam, Education Director Ng. Bhogendra Meetei, and the local Head Mistress joined the Chief Minister for the ribbon cutting.
Singh believes the facility will sharpen young minds. It helps students build a solid academic base. "The new facility would encourage students to develop reading habits, expand their knowledge, and create a strong academic foundation," Singh said.
He expects the library to help build a knowledge-driven society for the state. After the ceremony, the Chief Minister moved to Singjamei Chingamakha High School. He checked on the progress of ongoing construction projects alongside state education officials. The work remains on track. Singh confirmed the buildings will meet their target completion date.
