Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh opened a new District Institute of Education and Training building and an Ima Market on July 24. These facilities sit in Salam, Imphal West. Both projects aim to jumpstart education and local trade. They hit the ground running.
The state built the DIET facility through the Samagra Shiksha Teacher Education programme. Officials completed the Ima Market using the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme. MLA S. Rajen Singh and various top government officials joined the Chief Minister at the site.
