Kohima: The Kyong Nchumchio Okho is bringing the Mahila IR Band to Dimapur for Tokhu Nite 2026. This all-women ensemble from the 15th NAP Mahila battalion takes the stage on November 7 at the Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex. The show runs from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
It marks the Lotha post-harvest festival, Tokhu Emong. R Nzambemo Lotha of the Nagaland State Human Rights Commission will attend as the special guest. KNO Advisor Benjamin Merry announced a lineup featuring Lumka and Yan, Phyobemo Humtsoe of Struggler Boys, and Meribeni Patton. Emerging artists Lideno Ngullie and Mhajan Jami will share their work. The evening also features comedy by Wopen Tsopoe and Friends, plus performances from The Finalist and Azaro.
Organizers say the doors are open to everyone. "Music has no language. This is not organised only for the Lothas, and we invite people from all backgrounds across Nagaland to come and enjoy the evening," Merry said. Entry is free. Stalls will sell traditional Lotha food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Security is tight. KNO Chairman Mhademo Kithan warned that alcohol is banned at the venue. Volunteers and Dimapur police will monitor crowds and parking. The KNO, a non-profit founded in 2010, thanked the Deputy Chief Minister and state police for their support in organizing the outreach event.
