Longleng Officials Prepare for Reform Utsav Portal Launch

Kohima: Longleng officials met at the DBDP Hall on September 8 to coordinate the upcoming launch of the Reform Utsav portal. Deputy Commissioner W Manpai Phom chaired the session, which focused on improving institutional coordination and spreading public awareness.

Kekhrievor Kevichusa, Commissioner and Secretary for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, led the discussion. He serves as the State Nodal Officer for the district. Kevichusa outlined the core functions of the program and set a firm timeline for the rollout. Public sensitisation efforts will run throughout September 2026. The portal goes live in October.

Kevichusa demanded better results on the ground. He asked the Deputy Commissioner to establish district and block-level committees to manage operations. "He also called for strengthening the implementation mechanism at the grassroots level and requested the Deputy Commissioner to constitute block-level and district-level committees."

The Deputy Commissioner directed departmental officers and civil society representatives to engage the public. They must ensure citizens understand the goals of the initiative. The session finished with a vote of thanks, according to the State DIPR.
