Kohima: Regional authorities within the GPRN/NSCN have locked in their support for the group's top brass. They want R.M. Lotha and N. Kitovi Zhimomi at the helm. The decision came down on October 23, 2026, during a general meeting at Tatar Hall in the Council Headquarters at Designated Camp, Khehoyi. Officials held long talks about the state of local politics before making the call.
The Ministry of Kilo Affairs confirmed the news. They stated: "The Regional Authorities of the GPRN/NSCN, under the aegis of the Ministry of Kilo (Home) Affairs, have unanimously reaffirmed their unconditional support and solidarity with the collective leadership of president Maj. (Retd.) R.M. Lotha and ato kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi."
This group plans to stick to the Agreed Position signed on November 17, 2017. That deal exists between the Government of India and the Working Committee of the Naga National Political Groups. N. Kitovi Zhimomi serves as the leader and convenor of that committee. The members pledged to defend that agreement as their primary path forward. They will now talk with all stakeholders to speed up the process. They hope to settle the ongoing Indo-Naga political issue soon.
