Kohima: The Nagaland Association of Child Care Institutions gathered at the SIRD Auditorium in Kohima on October 22. They met for their first convention. The event followed the theme United in Care, Committed to Every Child.
Abi Angami hosted the program. Social Welfare Secretary Limawabang Jamir attended as the special guest. He praised the work of child care institutions across the state and pledged ongoing department support. Jamir officially released the first edition of the NACCI Newsletter during his address.
Sr. Faustina CMC opened the event with an invocation. Kevi Children Home performed a welcome song. NACCI president Mengukhrietuo Marcus Dzuvichu gave the opening remarks, followed by a special musical number from Pezet Newme and a brief speech by K. Ela.
The organization announced its new roster of office-bearers. Members elected Mengukhrietuo Marcus Dzuvichu as president and Alenuo as secretary. The group maintains a focus on the needs of children in care throughout Nagaland.
