KCP Claims Khurai Bombing and Issues Four-Day Surrender Ultimatum

Imphal: The Kangleipak Communist Party (Apunba) claimed responsibility for a blast at the Khurai Sajor Leikai, Chaithabi Leikai residence of a man named Somerendro. The explosion occurred around 11 p.m. on August 3. It was a warning.

Publicity Secretary Punsirol Meitei issued a statement demanding Somerendro and Govind, husband of MLA Kebi, turn themselves in to the group within four days. The outfit alleges the pair stole a significant amount of its money. Despite previous warnings to resolve the issue, both men failed to make contact.

The group claims it punishes any theft of its funds, no matter how small. They argue that even the loss of a single rupee triggers disciplinary action. The explosion was the final notice. The statement called the blast the "last warning" for both individuals. Failure to comply with the surrender order will result in what the group describes as dire consequences.
