Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked outgoing Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 25. He lauded Pradhan for his efforts in rolling out the National Education Policy and boosting higher education across India. Pradhan leaves office with a legacy of reform. He focused on cleaning up the nation's academic roots.
Sarma took to X to voice his appreciation for the minister. He noted that Pradhan faced down political hurdles to push his agenda. "As Union Education Minister, he worked tirelessly to restore the civilisational spirit of Bharat and to decolonise our education system," Sarma wrote. The Chief Minister also pointed to the recent opening of the Indian Institute of Management in Guwahati.
Pradhan played a direct role in that project. He pushed the vision that made the campus a reality. Assam officials say they remain thankful for his consistent guidance and support. Sarma praised the former minister for his humility and selfless work for the country. He finished his message by wishing Pradhan good health and strength for his future work.
