Guwahati: Assam has surged ahead in early childhood development. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the state finished building 9,054 model Anganwadi Centres recently. These facilities act as safe, child-friendly hubs for local youth. They feature trained caregivers and upgraded gear meant to spark early learning.
Sarma shared the news on X. He explained that these centers serve the government's wider goal of building a "Viksit Assam." The state is not stopping at current totals. Officials have another 6,000 centres in the pipeline to keep the momentum moving forward.
