Imphal: Manipur Police and Assam Rifles caught four suspected insurgents during a sweep in the Chandel district on September 1. The operation took place near Border Pillar 59, sitting inside the Aivomjang village area under the Molcham police station jurisdiction.
Authorities identified the detainees as 19-year-old Thiyam Jotiraj Singh of Bishnupur, 18-year-old Oinam Benarji Singh of Thoubal, 28-year-old Huidrom Rajesh Singh of Moirang, and 31-year-old Khundongbam Lemba Singh of Thoubal. They face serious allegations. Officials confirmed the specific roles of the men, stating, "three of the arrested men are suspected members of the United National Liberation Front (K) while Oinam Benarji Singh is suspected to be associated with the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive)."
The search yielded more than just suspects. Officers seized mobile phones, 12,115 Myanmar kyat, and 10 rupees in Indian currency from the group. The investigation continues.

Investigators provided specific home addresses for the detainees. Thiyam Jotiraj Singh hails from Moirang Thana Leikai in Bishnupur. Oinam Benarji Singh calls Charangpat Mamang Leikai in Thoubal home. Huidrom Rajesh Singh resides in Moirang Ngangkhalawai, and Khundongbam Lemba Singh lives in Heirok Part-I in Thoubal.
