Dimapur Police Offer Reward for Khopanullah Blast Leads

Kohima: Dimapur police are offering a Rs. 50,000 cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in the July 13 IED blast at Khopanullah, Chümoukedima A. The explosion killed one Assam Rifles soldier and wounded four others. Police are hunting for anyone who planned, financed, or helped carry out the attack. They also want leads on hideouts, weapons, or vehicles linked to the bombing.

Witnesses can call 7085055003 or 7085055011. Both lines accept WhatsApp messages. Authorities promise total anonymity for anyone providing tips. Cash payouts depend on verification and approval by a competent authority. Nagaland DGP Rupin Sharma confirmed on July 15 that investigators are chasing every lead. Progress remains slow. The department has yet to identify any suspects.

The Nagaland Gaonburas Federation condemned the violence. They called the bombing a senseless act that threatens the ongoing search for a political solution. The group issued a formal statement, noting, "At a time when the people of Nagaland are earnestly yearning for lasting peace and an honourable solution to the protracted Naga political issue, such cowardly acts aimed at destabilizing the prevailing atmosphere are unacceptable and must be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law."

NGBF leaders urged citizens to stay calm and exercise restraint. They demanded a thorough, impartial investigation from the state government. The federation also called on all Naga political groups to assist law enforcement. They offered condolences to the family of the dead soldier and prayed for the recovery of those injured.
