Assam Rifles Sweeps Regional Human Rights Debate

Kohima: Assam Rifles claimed victory in both Hindi and English categories during the North East Zone Inter-CAPF Debate Competition. The event took place September 5 at the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School in Shokhuvi, Dimapur. Seven forces faced off.

Personnel from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, RPF, SSB, ITBP, and Assam Rifles gathered to discuss human rights standards. Twenty-eight speakers participated. Fourteen argued for the motion while fourteen argued against it. The goal was simple: sharpen awareness on treating civilians with respect.

The RPF took second place in the Hindi category. The CISF finished second in the English category. These winners now advance to the national semi-final in October 2026. Brigadier Chandan Singh Pathania, VSM, Commandant at ARTC and S, praised the participants and the three judges for their work. He said, "Brigadier Chandan Singh Pathania, VSM, Commandant, ARTC & S, appreciated the participants and organisers for the conduct of the competition."
